Dr Graeme Kirkwood BA, MBBS, PhD, MRCP graduated from Oxford, before completing clinical training at University College, London. He undertook a General Medical rotation in Birmingham followed by Cardiology Specialty training in Manchester, sub-specialising in Electrophysiology and Devices. During this time he gained a British Heart Foundation-funded PhD in Cardiac Cellular Physiology from the University of Manchester, followed by a Clinical Lecturer post exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Cardiology. After completing an intensive fellowship at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, in 2018 he was appointed a Consultant Cardiologist with special interest in Cardiac Rhythm Management at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
